Cristy Fossum, Author and Speaker
Cristy Fossum, author of the Sunday by Sunday series, lives in Columbia, South Carolina. Raised Methodist in Ringwood, Illinois, she has been a Lutheran Christian as an adult and a member of 13 different congregations in Illinois, Georgia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and South Carolina. A full-time mother and homemaker for ten years when her children were young, she has also worked in public relations in addition to a career in special education. Most recently, she taught at Provost Academy South Carolina, a virtual high school. She attended Wartburg College for two years and graduated from the University of Illinois in Chicago (1971) with a B.A. in English and from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville (1990) with an M.S. in special education. She participates in writing workshops and festivals and is a popular presenter for programs and events.
Ms Fossum is available to lead retreats or speak at events about Sunday by Sunday or on other topics. She especially enjoys custom designing programs around a theme or purpose, weaving together scripture, drama, art, music, movement, prose and poetry to facilitate meaningful and fun experiences with a high level of participation.
